How do I set up an Investment Fund? – Vision RECap Support Home

Business outcome: The Investment Fund module allows for sophisticated asset ownership structures, and can appoint an Investment Fund Manager for reporting and management of the fund.

HINT PRE-STEP: If you have a dedicated Investment Fund Manager in your Team, invite them to the platform prior to setting up any Investment Funds

The first task is owned by the role/s below:

MAC

MAC completes a 3 Step process to “Add Investment Fund”

These steps are completed by a MAC. What's my role again? I need a refresher noting Step 3 may be assigned to the dedicated Investment Fund Manager.

1. Login into the MAC’s home screen

>Select Investment Fund Tab> Select Add New Investment Fund>

Follow the prompts and complete all the required fields and basic information. Then Next

2. Now you need to assign the Investment Fund manager

> Select Assign Manager- on the right hand side panel this will present the MAC, or you may invite an existing Investment Fund Manager within your Organisation.

> Select Assign button > Then select Submit

3. As the MAC, you may assign the assets to the Fund now, or delegate the task to your Investment Fund Manager

HINT

If you have the same ownership percentage and acquisition date across all Assets in your Fund use the first two prompts in Path A:

>select a default ownership percentage across all the assets in the fund

>select a default acquisition date across all the assets in the fund

Or go straight to the fast track path by selecting Assign Assets; (this will prompt you to select all or individually allocate Assets to the Fund)

>Finish off the Acquisition Date and Ownership % for each asset. Then Submit

- Noting there is a search bar to find specific assets you have assigned to the Fund for your convenience.

The Fund, once all the required data is submitted will change status to Active and appear with all other funds added in the Investment Fund Tab.

Fund Overview button provides a visualisation of the Asset and ownership structure of all your funds.
